My friend was trying to make me feel better about my 40lb weight gain since she saw me four years ago. I appreciated the effort but man. No I do not have shape. Blob is not the shape I want.

I get this one a lot too. When I gain my boobs get huge and my friends usually say things like "at least you don't have to pay for implants." Like no please stop."You gained a bit of weight, but at least now you have curves and shape!"

It upset me because firstly she called me a whale and secondly she didn't acknowledge the massive amount of weight I'd lost. I know she was trying to come across in a United, solidarity front but all I heard was 'whale who hasn't lost any weight'.

I often find the "wow you lost weight!" comments like a double edged sword, either I will be proud and use it as motivation, or I will suddenly feel pressured by it and anxiety myself into a binge, for days.

I was at a party and didn't know I was 5'8'', lol. I had always been 5'6.5'' and didn't realize i'd grown. one of my friends said "Wow, you're tall enough to be a model!"

"If only we could eat that much and stay so slim" a lady said to me at a dinner party when my friend got seconds. It's happened a few times that women have commented on the fact that 'we' can't get away with eating as much as those skinny girls I called my friends and hung around with all the time.
But the really annoying thing is that I wasn't even that big, like UK size 10-12. That's just majorly triggering for a teenage girl.

"I don't want to be your scale"
My boyfriend said this to me a couple of weeks ago when I was going through the "I need to be thin again" phase. I was telling him how motivated I feel to join the gym again and that my goal is to look good by the summer and that I'll be able to wear all the cute clothes again and look good next to him (he's tall and muscular and ugh I don't know what he's still doing with me but anyway). He tried to rephrase what he said but it was too late, he apologized and rephrased again and again in order to help me understand what he truly meant but I didn't want to listen to anything. He has accidentally told me many things which were triggering in the past, but for some reason this was the worst I think.

My husband sometimes makes comments about the things we did (usually sexually) when I was thin. He doesn't intend for it to be mean and it's not like he's going to seek that out but sometimes it makes me sad that I can't give that to him anymore.

Many people such as co-workers always tell me that I'm not fat (not that I even bring it up). I just have absolutely no muscle so I look "normal american weight" but I'm 35% fat and they don't understand that I know my body and it's not supposed to be this big. I think I'd be okay being muscular but right now I'm just fat and bones.
But my biggest trigger was when my dad (after years of discouraging makeup) took me to some spa/makeup place with his new wife and when I came out at the end with makeup on he says "Now you don't look like someone's 8 year old little brother." (I was at least 20 at the time)

Boyfriend said something similar. I know he loves me and thinks I'm beautiful but it still hurt. He said "If you did squats you'd be perfect." Of course I took it as my butt is huge and flabby and I need to lose. Lol

When I was 15 or so I was having a bit of a crisis about my weight (which is hilarious to me now, because then I weighed my now-UGW weight, and I was the same height I am today!) I asked my grandfather if he thought I was fat, and he said "No, you're pleasantly plump!" He said it like that was such a compliment, but what I heard was, "Yep, you're fat!"

You're not fat. The only way you would be is if you were like 200 pounds
I was well over
