I don't know how long this will go for, but I'm like 40 hours into a fast. In my 10 years of having anorexia/EDs I have never been one to go a day without eating, i would always get so nauseous from hunger. but i went to a wedding the other day and i drank several drinks and had hors d'oeuvres and parts of the 3 course meal. didn't eat a ton but still i've just felt like shit and it was the last straw, i gained 15lb since the holidays and have lost a couple but right now i just have no desire to put food in my body. so i'm not.

but i've never gone without food for so long so idk what the effect will be to my body. it's not difficult since i have no appetite but obv feel a little bit spaced out / lethargic. i could keep this going for a while even though i know it would get harder

5'6" and 130 rn. pretty far from underweight (this is a personal high range, my "natural" weight is like 120) so not eating for a couple days is fine? i just don't feel like bothering with food. i feel like eating one day then skipping two and repeating makes a lot of sense but idk if this is a bizarre approach to weight loss.

used to think ppl who fasted instead of dieted were crazy but here i am

will i be fine if i do a 3 day fast without electrolytes

I eat one meal every 2 days and fast for the rest, it's been working like a charm. I heavily recommend you to take electrolytes and vitamins during a fast or else you won't be able to function.

ive gone 4 days, but the most i will go now in normal circumstances is 24-48 hr, whenever youre feeling too faint is a good sign to stop

Can I ask how much you’ve lost doing this?
