Red spots around eyes after purging

Ok. so I binged and attempted to purge but I’ve fucked my gag reflex up this week by constantly purging so, nothing came up. But don’t think I didn’t try because I literally shoved my whole fist down there.

Anyways. I gave up, went to the sink to wash my hands and thought I had suddenly gotten freckles.

No. There’s red spots allllll around my eyes. WTF DO I DO. I live with my parents. Do I just wear sunglasses? Also is this like bad for me or something, do I need the doctor?

It's not dangerous and will go away in a few days. You could try concealing the spots with makeup, if you feel comfortable with that.

i suspect its broken blood vessels from how strong you purged, like yk when ure being choked the blood vessels in ur eyes and face burst and you get red spots? yeah, but this is just a guess. either way is temporary, and its called petechiae

Frantically trying to cover it up would probably just make it more suspicious. If your parents notice it you could probably just say 'i dunno' and that would be the end of it. They're definitely not going to know you're purging because of some spots around your eyes.

Petechie is the official name for the red spots. No non bulimic would likely know it's source. But you can get it by normal vomiting too.

i get those every time i try too, also nothing comes up with me too

it depends how much you forced yourself

once it took 1 day them to disappear

but the last time i forced myself quite much it took 2 days them to completely disappear

never doing that again, purging isnt my thing

i've had this too, at first i thought it looked kinda cute until my mother freaked out over it (she's a nurse so she knew it was prob from purging). like someone already said, it's just burst blood vessels and they'll go away soon
